Last week was the Lunar New Year. My family doesn't celebrate anymore, but we still managed to display some cherry blossom branches in the house. And I couldn't resist taking a few snapshots of them while the sun rays danced on the bamboo floors of our livingroom. Traditionally, the flowers are supposed to be the yellow 'hoa mai' (ochna integerrima) but I find cherry blossoms so much prettier. They also remind me that the cherry blossoms are soon to bloom gloriously in Japan, and wish I am back there to bask in the view again.
